Sweetwater boat ramp at Three Forks Conservation Area will be temporarily closed to conduct repairs

PALATKA, Fla. April 19, 2022 — The Sweetwater boat ramp located within the Three Forks Conservation Area, near highway 192, will be temporarily closed to conduct repairs beginning April 25 through May 16.

Alternative launching locations include:

  • Brevard County Airboat Association boat ramp (adjacent to Sweetwater). Permission is required. Please contact brevardcountyairboatassoc@gmail.com.
  • Other access to the St. Johns River, please use the Lake Washington boat ramp at 6000 Lake Washington Road, Melbourne, FL 32934.
  • The Tom Lawton Recreation, Malabar Road NW, Melbourne, FL 32904, area provides access for all watercraft as well. However, only airboats can navigate to the St. Johns River via levee crossings.
  • Camp Holly, 6901 U.S. 192 Melbourne FL, 32904, also has ramp access available to the public for $3.
