District invites public to shape future of Lake Apopka North Shore

The District is hosting a public meeting to present the draft 10-year Land Management Plan for the Lake Apopka North Shore and gather public input on recreational use of the area. The meeting will take place Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, from 6–8 p.m. at the District’s Apopka Service Center, located at 2501 S. Binion Road, Apopka, Fla. 32703.

The District encourages the public to attend and share their thoughts on the proposed Land Management Plan for the Lake Apopka North Shore. The meeting will include updates on recreation and land management, an overview of the draft plan and a dedicated session for public comments.

Anyone unable to attend may submit written comments by mail to P.O. Box 1429, Palatka, Fla. 32178 or by email at bbachelder@sjrwmd.com.
