District hosts Splash Night for students at RJ Longstreet Elementary

MAITLAND, Fla., May 5, 2016 — The St. Johns River Water Management District is hosting Splash Night on May 12 for students, parents and teachers at RJ Longstreet Elementary School in Volusia County. The event uses interactive activities to teach students about water supply and natural systems with a focus on science, technology, engineering and math learning.

During Splash Night, students create water cycle bracelets, build a food chain, explore the layers of Florida’s aquifer and play the web-based educational program The Great Water Odyssey.
