District to reopen offices, navigational locks Thursday
PALATKA, Fla., July 7, 2021 — St. Johns River Water Management District headquarters in Palatka, service centers in Jacksonville and Maitland and its field stations will reopen at 8 a.m., Thursday, July 9, in the wake of Tropical Storm Elsa.
To ensure public safety, District staff will assess its public land in its north, north central and west regions for damage and make any repairs before reopening to public use.
Also, navigation through the Burrell, Moss Bluff and the Apopka locks will be resumed on Thursday.
