Public webinar March 4 on Red Bug Lake MFL model peer review

PALATKA, Fla., Feb. 18, 2021 — The St. Johns River Water Management District will hold a public webinar March 4 to discuss the draft technical memo and receive final stakeholder comments on the surface water model peer review for Red Bug Lake, in Seminole County.

Red Bug Lake is located within the five-county Central Florida Water Initiative (CFWI) area. Setting minimum flows and levels (MFLs) for Red Bug Lake is on the District’s priority list and schedule for completion in 2022.

The webinar will involve a discussion of the District’s evaluation of peer review comments for the surface water model that will be used in support of the development and/or assessment of minimum levels for Red Bug Lake. This virtual meeting also is an opportunity for the District to receive final stakeholder comments on the model.
