Half marathon draws runners to Hal Scott Regional Preserve and Park
MAITLAND, Fla., March 14, 2016 — Visitors to the Hal Scott Regional Preserve and Park in east Orange County should expect larger-than-usual crowds this weekend. Portions of the St. Johns River Water Management District property are part of the mapped route for the Masters of All Terrain Half Marathon.
The race registration opens 7 a.m. near the main entrance. Runners will follow a marked racecourse that traverses the property’s vast expanse of flatwoods and open prairie.
